At TruFit Mechanical & Construction, we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, clients, contractors, and the public. While we operate as a small team, we believe safety is everyone's responsibility - and it's our priority on every job site.
Our Commitment: - We follow all applicable laws and regulations under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
- We provide our workers with the knowledge, training, and equipment required to perform their duties safely.
- We ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection when required.
- We maintain first aid kits on all work vehicles and ensure access to first aid assistance.
- We require WHMIS 2015 training for anyone handling or exposed to hazardous materials such as welding gases and solvents.
- We conduct regular hazard assessments and ensure that any unsafe conditions are reported and corrected immediately.
- All workers receive the Ontario Worker and Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness training.
- We hold brief but regular safety talks (tailgate meetings) to review job-specific risks and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Owner/Operator(s): Ensure all safety policies are communicated, followed, and updated as necessary.
- Employees/Subcontractors: Comply with all safety procedures, report hazards, and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
At TruFit, we take pride in doing things the right way - and that includes doing them safely.
